asteroid b612

For the Spring 2014 Children's Museum of Art Annual Benefit event, we organized a hands-on exploration to remake the home of the Petit Prince, Asteroid B-612, as originally envisioned by the french children's-book author, Antoine de Saint Exupery.

For the event, we prepared a large diaphanous structure of blue intersecting circles making up the asteroid, and suspended this see-through orb from the ceiling in the middle of the main gallery so that everyone could work together to flesh out, populate, and cultivate the little planet's surface.

Currently on permanent exhibit in the children's workshop.
