CROSS-BRONX WATERWAY

Cross-Bronx Waterway reveals the Waterways of Southeast Bronx with eight fluvial vignettes as seen from underwater. The ground plane of the water--a series of steel ribbons welded together to form waves--is flipped up vertically and becomes a screen from which to view the Bronx landscape from the Station. Floating on the water are boats, wildlife, and other quotidian objects found along the Bronx Waterways: crabs, egrets, fish, tires and plastic bottles. From the street, the objects are seen as if from above water.
